At DBA we recognise that the key to our success is the quality of our staff. We have experienced high rates of staff retention throughout the company history and as a result have an exceptionally experienced team who have a strong relationship with all our Clients. The Civil's team is headed up by three Directors, Jim Ashwood, Allan Thomson and Fergus Adams, who between them have over 75 years experience of Civil Engineering. The Directors oversee all Civils projects and are always on-hand to discuss any issues with our Clients.
The Department consists of experienced Engineers and Technicians who are trained to a high standard, through formal training and more importantly through experience and 'on-the-job' training. We are fortunate that our workload is diverse, both in scale and challenge, so the experience gained is broad.
DBA has developed an enviable reputation in designing and facilitating the procurement and delivery of major highway infrastructure schemes such as Braehead (£18m), Glasgow Harbour (£20M), Silverburn (£7m), Ravenscraig (£8m), Greenlaw (£22M) and Polkemmet (£25m), and residential developments of various sizes throughout the country. We also specialise in delivery of contract management and quantity surveying.
Whilst we are immensely proud to have been involved in the strategic infrastructure projects, the company has the flexibility and knowledge to design and manage a full range of projects and regularly design smaller scale works such as minor road realignments and small scale bespoke residential developments.
